Equity Partners Signs Reciprocal Agreement With Thailand's Brooker Group

Bangladesh's leading merchant bank, Equity Partners Limited (EPL) on Friday signed a reciprocal agreement with Thailand's foremost independent research and consulting firm, Brooker Group. Under the agreement, both parties undertake to support and strengthen each other's reach in the fields of independent market research, as well as market entry, joint venture, start-up or market expansion work.

Signing the agreement on behalf of EPL, Managing Director Mark Reinecke commented, "Through this agreement, the Brooker Group's excellent reputation and blue-chip client base in the region will allow us to expose Bangladesh and its exciting opportunities to a wider audience. We feel that we will complement Brooker's capabilities in the Greater Mekong Region, and now in West Asia as well".

EPL's Bangkok-based Project Director Ron Garcha added, "With our presence in both Dhaka and Bangkok, and through this new linkage with the Brooker Group, EPL has considerably expanded Bangladesh's visibility to those Multi-National Companies exploring Bangladesh's substantial potential for the first time".

The Brooker Group and EPL intend to team up immediately to commence mandates in a variety of sectors. The two companies see an urgent need for independent, uncompromised, and reliable market information and data in Bangladesh. EPL's Mark Reinecke said, "Sources of reliable information are few and far between in Bangladesh, and yet market statistics and data are vital for successful businesses". EPL expects companies already present in Bangladesh to regard the firm as the only reliable provider of market intelligence, and those considering an entry to the country to rely on EPL to formulate a market entry strategy and provide customer and market research.
